Everything will be alright in the end… If it’s not alright, then it is not the end, it’s not over.
Let us all run the race to the end stay faithful to the Lord to the very end of your life. Our life is like an obstacle race. There are snares along the path. There is a temptation to stray and there is suffering.
Let us pass on the baton to the next generation. Leadership is like being in a relay race. Succession is key. Pass on the baton to the next generation because our part in the race is not the end. The key to succession is finding the right leaders.
This is the foundation of our faith. This is the truth. We can be absolutely confident about our future because of this hope of eternal life.
The ultimate purpose of this strong leadership is to protect the people of God from being blown off course.
How are you to avoid stumbling or making a mess of life? Wandering around in the dark is frightening and dangerous. The word of God provides guidance. His word is a lamp to my feet and light to my path. It enables us to see the obstacles in our path, and hopefully to avoid stumbling over them. We need wisdom when we face stressful situations and decisions. God is faithful and will help us.
Sometimes the circumstances in our lives can seem very bleak. Everything has gone wrong. Darkness has set in. And yet… God never leaves us without a ray of hope.
There was no hesitation, no stumbling and not a word was out of place. It was the distilled wisdom of a man who had followed the Lord wholeheartedly all his life.
How do you react in the midst of tragedy and opposition? It is tempting to panic, withdraw, lose hope or even give up.Yet, even in the midst of such tragedy and opposition,
We did not despair or give up with God, it is not over. It is not over. We turn to God. We trust in God’s love.God’s love will never fail. We praise God’s deeds. Until God opens the door, let us praise him in the hallway.
With God, however bad your circumstances look, it is not over. Put your hope in God’s name.
When Jesus died on the cross, it looked as bad as it could possibly be. It looked like it was all over for him and his followers. But it was not over. God had not finished. He raised Jesus to life again. Jesus gives them very solid proof that he really is alive. Those who finish well will always have an unfinished agenda. You will be able to say, ‘It’s not over.’Again we see this ‘unfinished agenda’ in the life of Joshua: ‘When Joshua had reached his age, God said to him, “You’ve had a good, long life, but there is a lot of land still to be taken”. Be inspired by Joshua’s example. He followed the Lord wholeheartedly. So did Caleb, who was able to say, ‘I, however, followed the Lord my God wholeheartedly’ ‘He gave himself totally to God’
This is the challenge – to finish well, not to lose your first love but to keep your eyes on Jesus.Let us ask the Lord to help us finish well. May we be able to say at the end of my life, ‘I have followed the Lord my God wholeheartedly.
