8:00 AM. Sitting at home with my eldest son.
When we don’t understand something… worship and trust GOD. We don’t worship and trust God because life is good. We worship and trust God because HE is good.
It’s easy to worship God when we have ample blessings in our life and when He say YES to our prayers. It is just the right response. But, we don’t just worship God because of the things He has proven that He CAN. We worship Him for who He is. His attributes.
God is omnipresent. God is “all” present. He is everywhere, all the time, close to everyone and everything. He fills all of heaven and earth. God is omniscient.
God is “all” knowing. In regards to knowledge, there is no limit with God. He has it all, and He knows it all. Literally. There is not a second that goes by where God is not aware of everything.
God is omnipotent. God is “all” powerful. All power belongs to God. He possesses it all. He can do anything and everything. He never gets winded, and He never grows weary. His strength is never zapped, and He never has to take a nap.
We may see impossible things in front of us, but with God, all things are possible.
In the same way, we worship God by trusting HIM. Nowadays we trust so many things every single day of our lives. We trust that the food we eat is not going to make us sick. We trust that the internet signal will be strong when we need it. And many more. We know how to trust. Placing our trust in things we can see appears to be a relatively easy task for us. Placing our trust in ourselves or in something temporary and choosing to trust God is completely different.
On that day when we don’t get that job we were interviewed for, instead of believing that nothing good will ever happen for us, choose to trust that He is good and He wants the best for us.
When we feel overwhelmed with this coVid virus, with defeat and discouragement, instead of sinking further down into hopelessness we choose to trust that God is for us and HE is our HEALER. HE is our WAYMAKER.
So, how do we get to that place of trusting God completely and worship HIM wholeheartedly? It’s really very simple: by getting to know Him. We can’t trust someone we don’t know. And the way we get to know Him is by spending time with Him, reading His Word, surrounding ourselves with like-minded Christ followers, and immersing ourselves in His Truth. The more we learn of His character, His ways, His plans and His love for us, the easier it is for us to trust and worship Him.
Trust, faith and worship actually go hand in hand. The author of Hebrews writes that “without faith it is impossible to please God.” When we walk in faith and choose to trust God despite what every voice around us is declaring, we please God. When we are faced with the option to doubt God’s goodness or plans, verbalize to Him that we are choosing to trust Him and worship Him, even though we may not feel like it. When something bad happens to us and we have faith in God, our attitude changes. We begin to figure out why God wants us to go through tough times and what He wants us to learn from it. When we see that bad situation happens for a reason, we begin to trust God even more. Eventually, we want to allow Him into more areas of our life.
Miracles do happen when you least expect it. But you can only noticed, when you know that your mind will not be able to comprehend its reality. Our minds are less focused on God because we are steeped in our logical culture. That is why, when miracle happens, our minds search for logical reasoning instead of attributing it to God.
How’s your heart in trusting God that one day you’ll receive His miracle? And how’s your eyes in seeing His faithfulness while you wait?
Don’t let a miracle be just like a mist. Be watchful, take courage and don’t be afraid. HE is our great I AM, so there is no need to fear. In whatever situations we are in today this is a huge reassurance that HE is in control.
