Fifty… Another milestone…

    October 22, 2021

Are we afraid about life? Are we worried about what’s there next? Are we anxious to face the challenges of this world hearing its obvious chaos?

Let me encourage you that God is our strong champion. We need to realise how big God is and how small our problems are in comparison to His power. Giving up is not an option to one bad chapter of our life. Keep going, our story doesn't end here.

This year 2021, I am celebrating my golden year. Yes, I am now officially 50 years old and for me this is a milestone. I was able to survive half of my century. With God’s help, grace and mercy, I overcame all those chaos in my life.

On my 30’s, God made my journey with Edel so difficult because of his special condition. I fought for my marriage and lost and had fight again for the welfare of my family.

On my 40’s, I was challenged in my health that almost abandoned my children because of those operations, chemotherapy and healing process. There were many times that I felt so alone… that no one else can really relate. Trials came after another and there were times that no one is capable in helping me in my situation. But because God was there…

God fought my battles and arrange things on my behalf. I was showered with my favors and miracles I couldn’t explain myself how.

My words to myself then were: “Do not be afraid or discouraged”. “It’s OKAY to say I am not okay” … “It’s gonna be alright”.

God brings seasons in our life to sharpen us for our own good. God walks with us through these hardships and seasons. He is with us, He is our source of strength.

No power in the sky above or in the earth below - indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:39, NLT)

What matters in life is not our brains (wisdom), nor our body (strength), nor our bank account (riches). None of these provide the purpose of our life. The purpose of our life is to understand and know God. If we know God and His kindness, justice and righteousness, then we will imitate Him and bring Him delight.

I am an OVERCOMER and I can face this world because I know God is on my side.

I am a FIGHTER and I can do all things thru Christ who gives me strength more than I can think or imagine.

I am a SURVIVOR and I can face my future with full of hope that there is always a rainbow after storms.

I am a CHILD OF GOD and I know I can always count on HIS love even sometimes I am unable to love myself, God will.

This is my command - be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9, NLT)

Glad to hear that you are still prospering in life! I’m grateful for you and your friendship with me and (especially) with my wife. Happy Birthday, and may God continue to richly bless you!
